A World Without America

It's been a while, and boy is there news to discuss. As I write this, The world is literally on fire. Especially in the Middle East.
It really all started in Tunisia, but we took notice once it spread to Egypt. They were demonstrating in the Square (as Rush Limbaugh noted "it's really a circle") for democracy. Yea democracy! Mohammed Jefferson was there to save them all. He would be on future Egyptian stamps and currency. Sure, he'd be tan, have a short beard and a smartphone, but at least he'd have no wig - that accessory being about 200 years pase.
Democracy is always great until they come to chop off your head. Swords, dull knives, guillotines - whatever. Democracies just love to lop off heads. I cite modern and historical precedents. Middle East, Europe - wherever....
But the media thinks democracy is great. Too bad they don't really know anything or have never read a book. The Founders (featuring our Jefferson) abhorred it. It lead to anarchy, then tyranny, as some sort of strong man stepped forward to wrest power and rule the serfs (us) in some sort of totalitarian regime. Hey, if they'd chop off the medias' heads, at least they'd learn a valuable lesson right there at the very end, and stop all of that vacuous yammering....
I digress, I dream.... Moving on.
What does all of this have to do with the title? Well, in order to get to my conclusion, I'll need to ponder why all of this revolution is happening around the world. People who hate each other (and will slaughter each other later, should they be successful) have joined forces to overthrow the status quo governments and cause chaos. These people include Shia and Sunnis; Hezbollah and Hamas (with the Muslim Brotherhood thrown in); labor unions and Communists; Teachers' unions and elected officials. Oil and water; matches and gasoline; dogs and cats - you get the idea. And incidentally, Wisconsin, with its teachers, counts. It's a different step along the continuum, but it is the same phenomena. So are Indiana and Ohio. This tumult will soon be coming to a state near you. And it's all directed at The People (like you).
Holding our own domestic disturbances in abeyance for the moment, ask yourself why all of this is happening now. All of these murderous leaders have been murderous leaders for a very long time. Why NOW? Well, there was a catalytic event like there often is in world events. In this case, Tunisia/Egypt. Events were very quickly pounced upon and exploited by the groups mentioned above. Why did it cascade and quickly spiral out of control, as it spread from country to country? Because America is weak. Because we have our own economic problems and are turned inward. Because we have inept leaders who are way out of their league. Because We The People fail to grasp the significance of our Middle Eastern allies and how very bad it will be for the entire world if they fall.
Things are on fire, there is hunger, people are being shot down or otherwise murdered in the streets. Terrorists are taking over. Allies are turning their backs, Lies are spread, there is a dearth of truthful reportage for the rest of us, governments fail, or just wither away in their own bloated impotence. These are not good times. If we fall or become somehow insignificant, things will get much worse. Maybe Biblically worse. What we are seeing now all around us is just a foreshadow - a mere taste of a world without America.
